Ava Digital Awards just announced the winners in their 2018 international competition, with over 2,500 entries from the United States, Canada, and sixteen other countries. Judged by respected professionals, the awards recognize the work of creative professionals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence, serving as a benchmark for the industry. Big Red Oak was honoured with awards for two of its recent video productions.
Our corporate video for the Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine received a Platinum award in the Long-Form Video Production category. A Canadian not-for-profit organization, CCRM supports regenerative medicine and associated technologies with a focus on cell and gene therapy. Its network of researchers, companies, investors, and entrepreneurs aim to expedite the translation of scientific discoveries into products that improve outcomes for patients. This video told their story through interviews and b-roll, with a hyperlapse opening to establish their location at Toronto’s MaRS Centre.
The Electrical Safety Authority wanted a dynamic video to outline their role and approach to electrical safety, covering themes such as household safety, regulation and compliance, commercial and industry products, and public engagement. Our motion graphics artist created a compelling message through dynamic lines that connected the themes, with colour highlights and a voiceover narration. The video conveyed the information in an easy-to-understand, impactful format, garnering a Gold award in the Digital Video Creation category.
Big Red Oak is very pleased with this recognition, and we extend our thanks to the clients who helped us to make these productions possible.
